The Chinese Canadian Catering Association (CCSA) and the Fengshang Canada Chamber of Commerce jointly held an inaugural celebration on July 12 at a hotel in Vancouver. Both organizations aim to set a new benchmark for the food industry in Canada.
Li Guiqiang（Michael Lee）, the president of both the CCSA and the Fengshang Canada Chamber of Commerce, first explained that "Feng" refers to Fengtian, which is now known as Shenyang. "Fengshang" broadly refers to the business community in Northeast China. He went on to say that he is involved in the food industry in both Vancouver and Los Angeles and was fortunate to meet Zhu Junying, the chairman of the American Fengshang General Chamber of Commerce in Southern California. Since they are both businesspeople from Northeast China and share a good rapport, they decided to establish the Fengshang Canada Chamber of Commerce in Vancouver.
